Why GBG – What’s in it for me?
CW Global Business Groups
For companies with focus on Global Business
CW Global Business Groups (GBG) are local groups situated in your hometown or region. You may choose to join an already existing group or, depending on your network, create your own group where you have the opportunity to become the Group Manager.
The reason to join a CW GBG is to become part of a stronger entity than the individual company, and, thus, enable easier access for each company to do business in the global market. All kinds of Global Business Groups are being created in other parts of the world, and, together, they conform an interconnected network of the CW organization, where the different groups worldwide can get in contact with each other at any time. When a contact has been established, a group can carry out business trips, visit other CW GBGs and via them establish even more business contacts in other places around the world. This opens up a vast range of possibilities for new relations and interesting and prosperous development opportunities for each participating company.

Alone I’m Weak – Together We’re Strong
We have also tried to turn the issue around and figure out what the disadvantages would be for a company to be included in a group. It is difficult to find any direct disadvantages that are relevant, so we have noted a few points that we believe a company can oppose to at first and that may be perceived as a disadvantage.
- Competition from other companies with similar activities
- Transparency of “my” other business enterprises (financial, sales, development, espionage)
- The risk of losing employees to other group companies
- Other companies may have access to my network
- My business will be “swamped” by all companies that are larger or more interesting
